The Amalfi Coast is a mixture of history and nature, with much to discover: the Cathedral of Amalfi, Ravello, and the numerous churches built during the period of the Republic of Amalfi. In addition, to discover the islands in front of Positano Galli, the Emerald Grotto, near Conca dei Marini.

The island is, unlike the nearby Ischia and Procida, of karstic origin. Initially had joined the Sorrento Peninsula, except then be submerged in the sea and then separated from the mainland, where today is the Strait of Small Mouth. Capri has a complex morphological structure, with peaks of average height (Mount Solaro 589m and Mount Tiberio 334 m) and large interior highlands, including the main one is called "Capri".
The coast is indented with numerous coves and bays that alternate with steep cliffs. The caves, hidden beneath the cliffs, were used in Roman times as nymphs of the sumptuous villas that were built here during the Empire. The most famous is undoubtedly the Blue Grotto, where magical light effects were described by many writers and poets.
Characteristic of Capri are famous Faraglioni, three small rocky islets just off the shore, creating a spectacular visual effect and landscape, for they were also assigned names to distinguish them: for that star attached to the mainland, to the Middle Faraglione interposed the other two and Faraglione Out (or Scopolo) to the most remote island.

Ischia is an island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, the northern end of the Gulf of Naples and a short distance from the islands of Procida and Vivara. Belongs to the group of islands flegree.
With its 62,027 inhabitants is the third most populated Italian island after Sicily and Sardinia.
The thermal waters of the Island are well known and used since ancient times.

The Gulf of Naples is an inlet of the southern Tyrrhenian Sea, between the Phlegrean peninsula to the north-west (Cape Miseno) and the Sorrento peninsula to the south-east (Punta Campanella).
Considering the gulf islands as an ideal extension of the two peninsulas, the outer fringe of the Gulf can be extended up to the tip Emperor, on the island of Ischia and Capri island of Punta Carena.
Falls completely within the bay of Naples and the Gulf of Pozzuoli between Cape Misenum and head Posillipo.
The Gulf of Naples dominated by Vesuvius, the chain of Lattari Epomeo of Ischia and Mt. In the waters of the Sarno river also flows into the Gulf.

Sorrento is a tourist destination par excellence always bell for its natural beauty and artistic traditions, Sorrento is a major center for the number of services offered and also the best known and named the whole Sorrentine Peninsula.
Founded probably by the Greeks, Sorrento suffered temporary supremacy of the Etruscans and then, from 420 BC, the influence of Oscan. In the Roman era is remembered for having taken part in the Italics (90 BC), there was then a colony derived from Silla, which was followed later on a budget of veterans of Octavian. Hall was then Menenia tribes. It was a bishopric since at least 420. During the crisis of Byzantine rule in Italy, Sorrento gained autonomy as a duchy, first under the rule of the Dukes of Naples, then with their rulers and dukes, always fighting with Amalfi, Salerno and the Saracens.

Thanks to the mild climate and the beauty of the landscape, Positano has been a resort since the Roman Empire, as attested by the discovery of a villa and more recent discoveries, dating back to 2004. Typical of the many "steps" that come from the country down to the beach. The main beaches are Praia Grande and the Fornillo, both within walking distance, others are La Porta, Arienzo and San Pietro Laureano, all accessible mainly by boat. Positano is also a means of public transport, the "Metro del Mare".
